I have been a patient of Dr. Smolyar’s for nearly four years and I cannot recommend his services enough. Upon moving to Newton, MA from NYC back in 2020, I was in desperate need of a reputable dentist. My realtor’s mom spoke so highly of Dr. Smolyar’s practice, that I decided to take her word for it. I can whole heartedly say that I am so grateful that she wasn’t a gatekeeper! Dr. Smolyar and his team, specifically Deb his office manager, are professional, knowledgeable and treat each patient like family. I literally love and look forward to each visit. I will never forget the time that I traveled back to NYC and a crown fell off during a business trip. I saw a local provider who was convinced I needed to replace the crown immediately. Upon returning home to Dr. Smolyar, he did a thorough exam and told me I would get an additional 2 years out of the crown and he wouldn’t take my money! He is a man of integrity and building that type of trust is unheard of these days. He’s very well known for his pristine cosmetic work (his veneer cases are to die for) but he recently pointed out a few areas where I could benefit from some additional Botox. I had never gotten Botox outside of a medspa type of environment.
I am floored that he made this 43 year old face look like a newborn baby! He put Botox in places I never knew you could and the result is both natural and impactful. Dr. Smolyar just understands facial structure and balance unlike anyone I’ve worked with before. Also notable, his Botox lasts! Heroes. Both Dr. Alex Smolyar and endodontist Dr. Rondit Smolyar, along with Jackie, have successfully COMPLETELY eliminated 25 years of extreme dental fear and anxiety for me (and when I say “anxiety”- I mean I had to be put under general anesthesia for a simple filling when I was 16, and have refused any dentalwork other than cleanings ever since). All three of them are exemplary medical professionals and they are truly gifted. I will never be able to thank them enough for what they did for me.
I just had a root canal with a custom double-crown/bridge: First, this is a lengthy procedure, but it felt like *maybe* 15 minutes because it was all so uneventful and easy. Second- I felt absolutely nothing, and it was easier than getting a flu shot.
I wish I could find every patient like me and personally deliver them over to the Smolyar’s. 25 years of that kind of fear is absolute torture, and these people are amazing.

He’s not just a dentist he’s a lot more, he’s very caring and loving person and a very good listener. Everytime I see him at the Office he always happy and smile and he always positive. He’s a amazing dentist, we’ve a great history together, I started seeing him with a regular check up and not very good Teeth but now my teeth are super white and incredible straight and I’m can’t stop smiling. Hi everybody! Look no further. Here is the truth about this dentist office. I had a terrifying experience in a random dentist office in Nashua NH. I decided to go to Dr. Alex. He set up a treatment plan and during that he checked my gums for tumors. This comes with the cleaning. I know it sounds odd but he is so caring and has saved people’s lives going the extra step with this examination. Anyway, I needed a root canal. Dr. Ronit did the root canal. My prior doctor perforated my tooth so we had to stop mid-procedure. She was definitely one of the best dentists I have ever had. Their oral surgeon came down to the office on his day off while on vacation with his family!
It was the easiest extraction ever. I healed and went back today for a temporary bridge and crown. Of course I freaked out because I am terrified of the dentist, however Dr. Alex is so caring. Procedure went smooth and I am on my way to a Hollywood smile! Listen everyone, he is the real deal. A REAL DENTIST! He truly takes care of his patients. When I left today I was so happy. The office is so clean (like a cardio surgeon operating room) and the care they provide for patients is second to none! Nobody can match this level of care. I will never go to another dentist again and if you decide to have some dentistry done with Dr. Alex and his awesome team you will realize that all the prior dentists can’t compare. Today I had the pleasure of having a consultation with Dr. Smolyar and he was so amazing! It was all informational but his background and knowledge instantly made me feel at home and so comfortable! The facility is clean and gorgeous and the staff is so friendly. They were covid prepared and ready to go! I wish I needed more excuses to go to the dentist just so I could be there! Fantastic dentist and staff! I’ve had so many issues in the past and was fearful of trying someone new…but upon my first visit, my fears were set at ease and I was so glad to be at Dr Smolyar’s practice. Both my mother and I have been seeing Dr. Smolyar and his fabulous team for a few years now and it is a fabulous experience every time (which is saying something considering the both of us used to be pretty dentist-phobic). Dr. Smolyar and his staff are friendly, thorough, and informative, appointments are always on time, and the clinic is pristine. Every time I’m there it is abundantly clear how much the practice cares about its patients and providing truly comprehensive care without ever pushing for unnecessary treatments. It’s also very easy to get to with plenty of parking, unlike many other practices I’ve been a patient at in the past. I really can’t recommend this practice enough!
Dr. Smolyar is by far the best dentist in the area. Quite possibly the entire country— We are out of state part time now and still fly back to see him. For many years I believed I was going to the best dentist in town. Due to an emergency, I was treated by Dr. Smolyar and realized I didn’t have the best dental care available. Dr. Smolyar has skills and an attitude towards patient care that are unsurpassed in the area. Moreover, his staff includes other excellent specialists that treated me so I was able to avoid having to go to other dental offices to see dentists that didn’t have the experience I am accustomed to. I also found that he and his staff employed the very latest technologies for modern dental procedures, most of which save time and result in less pain. Lastly, the fear of a dental procedure is no more!!!!!
I would have a hard time going anywhere else after being treated in this office. The office goes above and beyond from customer service and kindness to cleanliness. After having several not so great experiences else where I was lucky enough to find Dr. Smolyar and have never had an issue since. For the first time ever I don’t dread going to the dentist at all. There is zero hesitation in recommending this office. They have their heart in the work done and will NOT let you leave unless it is done correctly and satisfied.
Dr. Smolyar is by far the best dentist I’ve had. He sits down with each patient and tells them exactly what he’s looking for when he examines their teeth. His technique is impeccable, and I haven’t met any dentist/hygienist that matches the comfort I feel after my cleanings here. I was referred to Dr. Smolyar by a friend when I was looking for a dentist to possibly do some (likely expensive) cosmetic dental work for me. Much to my surprise, Dr. Smolyar told me he wouldn’t recommend what had been recommended to me by several dentists over the years – I believe that says a lot. It is very clear that he genuinely cares about his patients and doing what is best for each individual, while also being extremely thorough in both routine exams and dental work. Hi everyone this is another email account. Chef Abe again. A few weeks ago I had an abscess the size of a golf ball. Dr. Smolyar and Dr. Ronit opened up the office for me for an emergency on a Saturday. Of course we all have a fear of the dentist but I lost my fear. They explain every step along the way and are very precise with their procedures. The procedure was an hour long and I felt better instantly. This is what we call the power dentists.
The expertise, cleanliness and attention to detail is second to none. I went today to finish sealing my root canal and Dr. Ronit is by far the best. Nobody can compare trust me and my bad teeth.
